This Skills for Work course provides learners the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge to explore careers in the travel and tourism industry. Currently, 250,000 people in Scotland are employed in this sector. This course involves a combination of practical and knowledge based assessments, developing skills related to travel and tourism including customer care, marketing and employment skills.
This course is a response to the need to develop a well-trained workforce in one of Scotland’s key economic sectors.
You will develop skills specific to the travel sector but which are also transferable including; customer care, marketing and skills for employment.
You will have the opportunity to experience a range of knowledge and skills suitable for the industry or specialise in subsectors such as retail travel, cabin crew and tour guiding.
