Congratulations to Michael Stewart on his excellent performance as part of the Great Britain & Ireland Walker Cup team that regained the trophy at Royal Aberdeen. Michael made a strong contribution to the team’s success, helped by dad, Robbie who caddied all weekend.

Congratulations are due to 4 MARR COLLEGE pupils for their excellent performances in these Championships at Grangemouth Stadium on Friday & Saturday. Scott MacAnally of S4 who won GOLD in the High Jump at a height of 1.75m 5th place in the Pole Vault. Sam Revie of S6 who won SILVER in the 100m. Rachel Whittle of S6 who won SILVER IN THE 100m. & BRONZE in the 200m. & Louisa Kelly of S4 who ran a very creditable race in the 1500m. A I Wright

June 2011 These are the 30 MARR COLLEGE athletes that competed at Dam Park on Thursday 2nd June 2011 in the above meeting. As a team , they won 5 Bronze, 14 Silver & 16 Gold medals. In addition, the S1 Boys 4 x100m Relay team set a new Ayrshire Schools record & Ross Fraser of S2 was awarded the Simon Campbell Memorial Trophy for the best Sprint performance. He won Gold in both the 100m & 200m. This was a very creditable performance & congratulations are due to the whole team. A Wright |

Congratulations are due to our 30 athletes who between them won 5 BRONZE medals 14 SILVER medals 16 GOLD medals At the above meeting. Some highlights include the S1 BOYS relay team performance that not only won GOLD but set a new AYRSHIRE Schools record time (Thomas Watkins, Campbell Mathieson, Jonathon Hendry & Lewis Haddow.) Thomas Watkins very fine performance in the 400m to win Gold. Ross Fraser of S2 who won both the 100m & 200m races & was awarded the Simon Campbell memorial trophy fro the best Sprint performance. Oliver Underwood of S2 for his Gold medal Javelin throwing. Louisa Kelly for a terrific Gold medal run in the 1500m. Scott MacAnally of S3 for his Gold medal High Jump performance. Sophie Condy for being our helper & a great Silver run in the 800m. & the 2 GOLD & 4 SILVER medal runs from our 6 relay teams. A very fine effort from all concerned. Mrs J Reid Mr A I Wright
