Scottish Book Week was a busy time in the school library. The first competition was Name That Story . Miss Owens had displayed 13 word clouds around the school. The shape of the word cloud and the words contained inside were the clues needed to name the story. There were a few entries and Alexandra Walker, S6, won with the most correct entries.
On Thursday 26th November Miss Owens had set the table for dinner in the library. She had invited some very special guests, including James Bond. Over 60 pupils were in the library at lunchtime to view the table setting and Guess Who Was Coming to Dinner. Every pupil who entered received a certificate and a copy of Journeys, a book published by Scottish Book Trust for Book Week 2015. All correct entries were put into a hat and the winner, Matthew Penman, S1 was drawn out.
Well done to both our winners and a huge thank you to all who took part.
