68 senior pupils are taking part in this year’s Living On One Week. Around the world over one billion people are living on less than £1 a day while in the UK 1/3 of people will have experienced poverty in 2016. Throughout the week the pupils taking part will experience the daily challenges poverty brings at home and abroad. They will learn important life skills in planning and preparing their meals all week, will experience the comradery of overcoming challenges together and by stepping outside their comfort-zone and challenging themselves show they are capable of extraordinary things. After the Tour we will return to the library at 6.30pm to have the normal Parent Council meeting and we hope to be finished by 8pm given the early start. Anyone not attending the tour should meet us in the library at 6.30pm (don't eat all the mince pies!).
