S1

S1 classes have been learning about the Visual Elements and how to use them in their artwork by producing bold, colourful iguanas!

S2

S2 classes have been working on wonderful, colourful Gummy Bears to develop their coloured pencil blending skills as part of the Still Life Food themed unit. 

S3 Design and Expressive Skills

S3 have been working body adornment designs this term, taking shapes from inspirational images and designing headpieces, cuffs and body adornment pieces. 

Monday Craft Club 

Use different craft materials such a Fimo with Mrs Catterson to make objects and gifts! 

Tuesday Fashion Club Lunchtime 

Bring your lunch and create fashion illustrations and design your own tote bag with Miss Madden!

Wednesday Environmental Art Club

Go outside and creating sculptures using natural materials, making our own sketchbooks, painting and printing with natural inks with Mrs Lambie!

Thursday Ceramics Club

Using clay make a lantern or tealight holder, Christmas decorations and learn how to colourfully glaze your creations with Mrs Morton!

Senior Portfolio Preparation

Mrs Brown will be helping Senior pupils applying to Art School with portfolio preparation on a Wednesday after school. 

N4/5 & Higher pupils can access the open space during any lunchtime to work on Expressive or Design work.

Instagram Photography Competition

Each month there is a new photography competition theme for all year group and staff to get involved in! 

DM entries to marr.artdept on Instagram or email your teacher through Glow to submit a photo. Pupil and staff winners are picked each month and their photographs are printed and displayed in the art department wall of fame!
