Welcome to the school library.  Here you will find all the information you need about the school library.  The library is staffed by 2 librarians, Miss Owens (Mon-Tues) and Miss King (Wed-Fri).  Promoting reading, in all forms, is a huge part of the life of the library.   This is done in various ways including whole school book events and house or year groups specific events.  Senior students are welcome to use the library to study quietly throughout the day and all students can access the library facilities at lunchtime.

What's Going On?

To follow the goings on at Marr College library check out our twitter account, @marrlibrary.  All events, competitions and activities can be found there, as well as the library notice board. 

Ebooks and Audio Books

As we are part of the South Ayrshire library service our students have the benefit of  free access to online resources including audio books and e-books ​using the Libby App. All students are issued a South Ayrshire library card at the start of S1, and if they ever lose their card or forget their pin number they can request a reminder from the librarian.

​Another great resource is PressReader which gives all students unlimited access to thousands of magazines and newspapers. Sign in using your library card. Can be accessed via a browser or download the app.

All our S1 and S2 students are enrolled in the Accelerated Reader programme and we offer a huge selection of books for students of all abilities.

Use the code ZM678656 on ARBookFinder.com to search through available AR books within the school library.
