Police Campus Cop
Marr College has a Campus Cop who provides a dedicated service to the school as well as the associated feeder schools in the area. They are based within the school and contactable during office hours.
They are working to establish a positive relationship with pupils and help them to understand the role of Police Scotland in their local community, whilst contributing towards young peoples’ citizenship skills. Throughout the school year our Campus Cop will deliver inputs to classes in line with their Personal and Social Education, on relevant issues such as cyber bullying and personal safety.
This pro-active approach will extend out into the wider community, enabling young people to become actively involved in community based activities, helping them to see their responsibilities as a young citizen.
Community linked Initiatives such as litter picks as well as other events will be running throughout the school year. Updates in relation to these will be published within the school newsdesk in due course.
Our Campus Cop can also offer advice to parents on many issues, including staying safe online.
