Behaviour Management – The Marr Way
‘The Marr Way’ is our behaviour policy, which has been developed in consultation with pupils, parents and staff. This is displayed around the school and reflects our expectations and school values.
Our school rules are:
and these are clearly displayed in our main social areas and classrooms.
- Ready

- Safe
and these are clearly displayed in our main social areas and classrooms.
Positive relationships are the starting point for effective learning to take place. In the journey towards developing positive and respectful relationships a process of promotion of positive behaviour is required, which is captured in our The Marr Way, our positive behaviour policy.
This communicates expectations, boundaries and supports, allowing effective learning and teaching to take place. We adopt a restorative approach in responding to any issues and appropriate consequences are part of the process by which an orderly, safe and inclusive ethos is encouraged and maintained.
In dealing with repeated instances of misbehaviour, the support of parents/carers is vital. Should a pattern of misconduct emerge, parents/carers will be invited to discuss the situation with a member of staff.
