Your Careers Service
Students can access a host of careers information within the school, provided by Skills Development Scotland. The careers library is housed within the main library and has a selection of printed material to help with subject choice, further and higher education choices, such as university and college prospectuses, as well as career options. The school is supported by a careers advisors, Sarah Gifford. Both the career advisor and the librarian can help students when looking online for career information too. More details of the career service can be found here.
Sarah Gifford is based in Marr College to give you the careers support you need throughout your time at school. Through a combination of group sessions within guidance classes and assemblies and one-to-one interviews to talk in more detail about your own career ideas and plans, Sarah will help you understand how your personality, interests and values are key to making the right career decisions. They can also help you understand how to develop and use your talents and skills, explore where they could take you, and identify who can help you along on your career journey.
