N3/4 People and Society
Looking to develop skills in areas such as research, decision making and presentation?
Unsure which social subject would suit you best?
This course is skills based and works across a wide range of social subjects, social sciences and RME.
The course covers content across social subjects such as Geography, History, Modern Studies, Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies and Philosophy.
The course is designed to help you develop a wide range of skills across lots of different social subjects including research and presentation.
Course Structure
For National 4, pupils also have to complete an AVU which looks at crime in our local community.
The course is assessed within the school and pupils maintain a portfolio of their work throughout the year.

- Unit 1 : Comparing and Contrasting (The Commonwealth)
- Unit 2 : Making Decisions (Organ donation or another moral issue)
- Unit 3 : Investigating Skills (choose from a wide range of topics)
