Marr Hockey On this page you can find minutes from the Marr Hockey Support Group which is ran by parents and supports all out hockey players and teams. There will also be any important announcements as well as all the good news stories about our hockey teams. Please do check it out. South Ayrshire summer schools out activities are now available to book online:
https://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/school-holiday-activities/schools-out.aspx  Last week one of our pupils Callum played in the Sportability Boccia Competition at the Inverclyde centre for Sports in Largs. Whilst there he met two former pupils of Marr who are now players for the national team BocciaUK, Jamie and Scott McGowan. Callum played 4 games and won them all, coming home with a medal and an invitation to the 2018 West of Scotland Schools Boccia Competition. Today, 25th Sept, Callum attended that competition at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow and come back with a silver medal in his category, physical disability A2. A huge well done to Callum from all at Marr for taking part and bringing back the medals.
 Purchasing PE kit for Session 2018-19 At Marr College we have a formal PE kit that we expect all students to wear. This will consist of a Marr College PE top and black shorts or sports leggings. We believe that if all students are wearing the same kit this will give them a greater sense of identification to Marr College, inspire a feeling of togetherness and create a more professional learning environment. This year orders will be made via an online shop on our suppliers website. Please click on the image below to view the shop.  On this page you will be able to order your child's PE top and other items of kit. Prices, specifications and sizes are listed for each item. Orders placed up to midnight on 29th July 2018 that have the discount code 'MARR' applied will be delivered to the school for the start of the new term on 20th August 2018. Any orders placed after the cut-off date or with no discount code applied will be charged shipping and delivered to a home or business address.
Please contact the school office in the first instance if you have any queries. We like to celebrate student success in every part of their lives here at Marr. We were recently notified by a parent of success our pupils had outside of school. Jenna and Eve Beswick both competed today at the Scottish Indoor Athletics Championships and represented Ayr Seaforth U13 Girls at the 4x 200 m relay. They won the Gold Medal and also achieved a Club Record. (K Beswick, 25th February) We are delighted that the girls achieved such fabulous results at a national championship and are happy to celebrate this success with them. Here they are pictured with their teammates. We would also like to remind parents and pupils to keep us informed of all success our pupils have, whether in school or with local clubs.
