Yesterday Miss Owens, our librarian, announced the winner of the Halloween writing competition. Pupils in S1-2 were given the task to scare her with a spooky tale of no more than 500 words. The outright winner was Sophie in S2 and her story can be read over on our librarians blog. Here is Sophie with the two runners-up Cleo and Ryan. Well done to all three.
Last week was Book Week Scotland and some of our S2 pupils joined in the celebrations. The theme this year was 'nourish' and our librarian, Miss Owens, asked pupils to share information about a book that means a lot to them, a book that has nourished them over time. Below you can read a selection of their responses, you might even get an idea for a present for Christmas! They then had some fun re-creating book titles with a food theme. Continue reading for a giggle at some of these.
