On Tuesday 6th September, S2 students were treated to a fantastic event hosted by BAE Systems in the Games Hall as part of the new STEM programme. It was an interactive live show all about light and sound waves. BAE Systems that evening tweeted “@MarrPhysics were amazing – thanks for having us!”

“They showed us a laser beam through a smoke machine and we saw the full beam reflecting off the particles, scattering the light. We also used a machine that layers the “wonderful” singing voices of volunteer students and teachers to create new sound waves in a mash-up. That was pretty funny. We really enjoyed the whole thing”.
