As part of the Dynamic Youth Award, students in Fullarton, Lothian, Portland and Welbeck helped to organise this year’s Intergenerational Tea in the Dining Hall on Thursday 30th April 2015. Some of our students designed invitations and posters for the event; others helped to organise and confirm transport arrangements for our guests. On the day itself, groups of students decorated the dining hall, welcomed our guests and acted as escorts, help to prepare and serve the tea as well as helping to tidy up afterwards!
34 residents from Logan Drive, St Meddan’s Court, Sandhill Gardens, Millrock Court and Cavendish Court visited the school, had a cake demonstration from Sugar n Spice, traditional afternoon tea as well as some music, songs and a good chit chat with our students and staff.
The remaining students in Darley and Lothian will be carrying out a litter pick on Friday 15th May, Wednesday 20th May and Tuesday 26th May, accompanied by PC Briggs.
