Last week P7 pupils and parents from our feeder schools had a chance to tour the school and see the sort of activities S1 pupils undertake in different subjects. This was to give them a feel for the school and a little taste of what they can expect in August when they start here at Marr College. Below is a report from our science department:
In Science, S1 students explained and demonstrated a range of fun and interesting experiments and encouraged the P7 pupils to take part.
Dr Spencer reported that 'The S1 students were a credit to Marr College and parents of P7 pupils told us how impressed they were with their knowledge and experimental skills. The pupils showed great leadership and enthusiasm. In short, as I tweeted on the evening – they were awesome!'
The evening also drummed up competition between departments, Mr Moncrieff sent me great photos of his very impressive history showcase to which my reply was “nice – but we have lasers and rockets”
