On the 25th November we hosted a highly successful Rotary Music Competition in Portland Church, open to teenagers from the town of Troon as well as pupils from Marr College.
The adjudicator was the highly respected Dorothy Howden, who adjudicates music festivals across the UK and internationally – in 2016 she is engaged for contests in Hong Kong and Singapore. She made some highly complementary comments on each of our competitors, along with valuable advice for future growth as a musician.
Thanks go to Portland Church for their kind offer of the venue, and to Mr Crerar from Troon Rotary for his initiative in organising the competition.
