On Friday 11th March the Glasgow Warriors professional Rugby Team visited Marr College. The event was attended by 60 of our S1-3 boys who participate in the School of Rugby programme. The team held an open training session on our 3G all-weather pitch from 1pm-2.30pm. This was a great opportunity for our boys and teachers to watch the players being put through their paces by Glasgow Head Coach and ex Scotland captain Gregor Townsend.
After this the boys took part in a community coaching session with the players for 45 minutes. At the end of the session all the players were on hand to sign autographs and take photographs with our boys. It was a typical Scottish spring afternoon, however, the poor weather didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of everyone involved.
