CHANGE TO INCOME THRESHOLDS
You may be aware of a recent announcement relating to raising the income thresholds for EMA.
We have now received further information relating to these changes from the Scottish Government and can confirm that from 1 January 2016 the income thresholds will be as indicated below:

CHANGE TO INCOME THRESHOLDS
You may be aware of a recent announcement relating to raising the income thresholds for EMA.
We have now received further information relating to these changes from the Scottish Government and can confirm that from 1 January 2016 the income thresholds will be as indicated below:
Young People who are 16 between 1 October 2015 and 29 February 2016 may be eligible for an EMA from January 2016 and these awards will be based on the new income thresholds. Young people who were 16 on or before 30 September 2015 should also be made aware of these changes to the thresholds as they may now be entitled to receive an EMA from 1 January 2016.
Central staff will review applications made by young people who have previously been refused EMA to identify those who may now be entitled as a result of the change to thresholds. These young people will be contacted directly by central staff.
